An introduction to working with the media
A media training course for individuals new to media interviews, or those looking for a quick refresher course. This three hour, interactive session will cover: what the media is looking for in 2009; the differences between your target media; how to prepare for an interview; how to handle questions; how to get your message across and how to avoid the pitfalls of an interview with the press. Through practical exercises, delegates will also get to learn first hand about giving media interviews in a safe environment. This is a great session for anybody considering, or being considered for a media-facing role within any organization.
Presentation training for sales and marketing professionals
We all work in a world where communication and presentation skills are essential, whether presenting to a colleague, a board, a team or a room full of people at a conference. And while some people naturally rise to the challenge many are concerned about public speaking and everybody can always benefit from improving their presentation style. This three-hour session will help presenters of all levels become more convincing and compelling performers in front of an audience of 1 to 1,000. This is an excellent session for anybody looking to improve their communication and presentation skills.
Social media marketing: The basics
Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and blogs are often referred to as revolutionizing the media landscape. But how much do you know about influencing potential customers via these channels, or how to manage your online reputation? Our introduction covers the key sites and trends in social media, plus some quick and easy tactics to get you started. The three-hour course will show you how to build a blog or Twitter account, then use it to interact with customers or stakeholders. It will also help delegates understand their own objectives – from driving traffic or improving search engine optimization, to driving direct sales or PR. With a focus on measurement, attendees will understand how to set success criteria, then use the freely available tools to measure and exceed them.
