Bazaarvoice signs LEWIS PR in UK and France

~ Social commerce company selects global agency as part of European ramp-up ~

23 Nov 2009

Bazaarvoice, the leader in social commerce, has appointed LEWIS PR as its retained agency in Europe after a competitive pitch. Bazaarvoice develops social commerce solutions that drive sales by improving the online shopping experience, allowing customers to make more informed purchase decisions.

Social commerce has proved particularly effective throughout the recession with the online retail sector demonstrating steady growth whilst other industries have shrunk significantly. With offices in the US, Asia and Europe, Bazaarvoice has grown rapidly since its inception in 2005 and now has over 575 clients globally.

LEWIS will work with Bazaarvoice to develop a consistent PR approach that will allow the client to extend and broaden its coverage into new channels. A core focus will be establishing a presence in the national as well as the new media and marketing press.

Amy Crow, global PR manager at Bazaarvoice added: “Having expanded rapidly over a relatively short period of time, we needed to find an agency that could support our PR strategy in multiple markets and deliver consistent messaging across borders. With a strong global network, LEWIS is able to deliver the international service we require.”

Kate Axelby, associate director at LEWIS, commented: “This is a great win for LEWIS and enables us to further build our portfolio of clients in the online marketing space. Bazaarvoice is a leader in social commerce and we look forward to raising its profile in the mainstream media whilst supporting communications across the UK and France.”
