~ Lisbon office is 38th in agency´s global network ~

30 Jan 2009
LEWIS PR is on track to achieving its target total of 42 offices by the end of 2009 as it adds Portugal to its global network this month.

Fernando Batista will be heading up the Lisbon office. With nearly 10 years’ experience in the IT sector, Batista joins LEWIS from Sybase, the leading enterprise software and services company. His previous experience also includes roles as a marketing and PR consultant, both agency-side and in-house.

The launch of the Lisbon office is a hugely exciting challenge for me. The Portuguese market brings expectations for all, I believe LEWIS’ approach to PR will be welcomed by local ITC organisations and I am confident that with the support of the global LEWIS team, the office will be a success.

Fernando Batista, head of LEWIS Portugal
Andres Wittermann, EVP EMEA, has been leading the agency’s global expansion since 2007 and said, “The launch of this latest office makes a total of 21 LEWIS offices in EMEA, all grown organically to support client needs. With three offices in the Iberian market such as Madrid, Barcelona and ultimately Lisbon, LEWIS is more prepared than ever to satisfy the PR needs of clients in the Iberian Peninsula.”

Existing clients in the area include Mozilla, NTT Europe Online, Aastra, Dialcom, Experian and NorthgateArinso.
