LEWIS PR wins Sedo account
~ PR required for UK expansion ~
LEWIS PR has been appointed by Sedo, the leading online marketplace for buying and selling internet domain names and websites, to handle its public relations in the UK.
Headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Sedo operates the world’s largest database of domain names for sale, with more than 10.5 million listings. It sold Vodka.com for $3m, as well as in-demand domains such as Sport.co.uk.
"When we met with LEWIS they left us in no doubt they understood our business completely and were the right team to handle our PR in the UK. The mix of ideas, in-depth industry knowledge and enthusiasm at the pitch was infectious. The presence on the team of an experienced former industry journalist is also a major bonus. We have already enjoyed a lot of success in the UK market but the size of the opportunity which exists here is considerable. We're very excited about working with LEWIS to grow our profile and business in the UK."
Will Sturgeon, associate director at LEWIS PR, added: "At LEWIS we're thrilled to come on board at such an exciting time for Sedo. It's a great business and it's clear from the planning already underway on this campaign that we are going to have no shortage of stories to take to the media. It's a fantastic brand and we feel this campaign represents a great opportunity for both LEWIS and Sedo."
